lyrics

Oh world come see what I have lost and all the worldly things that cost me everything that I hold dear and all the things that draw me near to the light. The light, the light, the liquid light poured over me to shine at night so, all the sailors out at sea looking for a light could find me standing there on the coast glowing like a holy ghost. I'm helping them find their way home, to a home found on solid land. They're families greet them there with outstretched hands. To a home where they'll be safe from all the dangers oceans hold, so hold them tight my friends (my loves) and keep them from the cold.

"Oh, now I'm safe but, when I die will I be missed? Will my hands be kissed by my children at my funeral? Will you say that I knew him when he was younger and he was kinder and he was honest? He never said what he didn't mean. He was a better man than I'll ever be."

Come and watch me float away
Come and see me leave this place
Come and watch me float away
Come and see me fade
