lyrics

Well, I'm high up here on my throne away from everyone. Everyone who'd do me harm, that kind that no one is ever safe from save for those who're up looking down. I don't know any body's name save my own proper noun. Then one day out of nowhere my castle comes crumbling down, now there's no sign of my importance save this old rusted crown.

Dressed in rags, begging for change I see a man made of light. Gives me a nickel then he walks off into the night, except it's day wherever his foot steps and well, that's quite a sight. Flowers bloom out of his footprints and then they sigh out a song singing praise to this man of gold, how his is the only Kingdom won't ever grow old.

So, I follow this man down the alley he wandered in and he told me I got a new name that my old name was sin and that he'd call me redeemed and he'd call me son and that he'd replace that I for O for everyone. I felt free of all burden and I felt light (weightless as a leaf blown by the wind through the night).

This man, he's got wise blood; covers my eyes in the finest mud so, I can see again. I am blameless and I am thin when covered in the blood that comes from him. I am blameless and I am thin. O' what foolish grace, where even a man, wicked as I am, can be redeemed.
